CAMILA GUEVARA

Camila Guevara (Havana, 1999) sings with Cuban roots running through her voice and her eyes fixed on her own path. Granddaughter of Ernesto "Che" Guevara and of songwriter Pablo Milanés, one of the founding fathers of La NuevaTrova, Camila grew up under a historical weight that could have swallowed her whole or defined her before she'd even started — instead, she chose to build something of her own: lyrics with real depth, a voice both silky and powerful, and a versatility that refuses to sit inside a single genre.

Her young career already reads like a veteran's: she's been invited on stage by Kevin Johansen and has opened for Residente, Julieta Venegas, Zaz and Fito Páez. The tour behind her first LP, "Dame Flores," has taken her to stages like Mexico City's Auditorio Nacional, the Zócalo, and European festivals such as Pirineos Sur and Veranos de la Villa. Rolling Stone named her to its Future of Music 2025 list, and the Latin Recording Academy nominated her for Best New Artist at that year's Latin Grammys.

She recently released "Vivo en Baires," a live session recorded in Argentina that confirms what the album already hinted at: Camila Guevara's voice holds just as steady in the studio as it does on stage. She's now preparing a new tour. The family memory is there — she doesn't hide it or deny it — but the story she's writing is, more and more, entirely her own.
